About
The London Vaporetto Shorts Film Festival is dedicated to celebrating the work of new and independent filmmakers from around the globe. Founded by directors Anouk Witkowska Hiffler and Tomás Felício Oliveira, the festival is organized by the production company Vaporetto Films. The festival emphasizes narrative fiction, showcasing a diverse range of stories that aim to do more than just entertain—they seek to make audiences dream, think, and see the world through fresh eyes.
The festival’s core mission is to bridge the gap between creation and collaboration. It is designed as a networking hub where directors, writers, and cinematographers can connect and find their future creative partners. Each edition culminates in an awards ceremony across categories like Best UK Short, Best International Short, and technical honors for directing, cinematography and editing.
